Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in track design, knowledge of AREMA Standards, station design, and transit system planning to join our team of professionals in our New Jersey / New York metropolitan area offices. The candidate will be responsible for leading the design of projects for Class I railroad and major transit and commuter rail clients as well as and other transportation-related infrastructure improvements. Additional responsibilities will include supervising project team members, developing quality Contract Documents, achieving budgets and schedules, and interfacing regularly with clients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a key member of team that grows the companys rail business.
Required Skills & Required
Experience:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Masters degree is a plus).
Professional Engineering license (NY and/ or NJ).
5 to 8 years of increasing levels of design experience and client interaction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of preparing reports and Proposals.
Knowledge of MicroStation, InRoads, and Primavera.
Ability to identify and initiate business development activities.
Commitment to lead, coach and mentor junior staffEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
