Job Description Our East Region environmental practice is currently seeking a senior manager with a strong background in ecological, civil, and/or water resources engineering. The ideal candidate will be based in Upstate New York in either our Ithaca or Buffalo office. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: o Senior seller-doer position that will generate new business consistent Upstate New York branch office goals. o Manage the technical, financial and client relationship aspects of a variety of ecological, civil, and/or water resource (including coastal resiliency, dams and waterways) projects with a geographic emphasis in Upstate New York. o Prepare technical scopes of work for proposals and projects, project budgets, and technical reports. o Participate actively in trade organizations and conferences; deliver presentations, and write technical papers. o Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to clients and regulators. o Lead proposal teams and presentations. o Lead and participate on multi-disciplinary, multi-geographic project teams. o This position requires some travel and overnight travel. Minimum Qualifications: o B.S. in Engineering, Geology, or Wetland Science (Engineering preferred); M.S. a plus. o New York State P.E. preferred. o Proven, successful record of performing as seller-doer o 10-20 years of previous professional experience in environmental,civil, ecological, or water resource consulting; significant Project Management and Upstate NY seller-doer experience, including proposal preparation and budgeting; thorough knowledge of New York and federal environmental regulations; expertise in site assessment and remedy evaluation, selection and implementation; proven business development skills. o Established local (Upstate NY) network of clients and contacts, especially municipalities, private industry, colleges and universities. o Excellent technical report writing and communication skills. o Willingness and ability to travel on short-term assignments as needed. o 40 hr. HAZWOPER o Valid U.S. driver's license. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
